For sure no other game makes this complex or build so good system for it.Ĭapital ships should have good defense vs smaller ships. Well there are lots of people who want work as team and together operate big ships like in movies. Same reason the vanguard isn't the best at fighting small fighters it has range that small fighters cant even dream of so it has no reason to really compete with them the ranges they operate means they just wont see them much while doing their job. It's why medium sized ships don't need to be the most suited to fight against small fighters.
Your short range ships cant get that far. you wont even see polarises where your able to operate most likely. that's if I remember correctly.īasically your only want to have a capital ship if you like the job it comes with SC is a game with no end game, no set progress.Īlso 5 sabres are fine if you want to do combat missions just remember your range will be tiny. If I remember them talking about the SQ42 Idris they put 80 something NPC crew on it to make it feel correct. Think having a couple players but say 90+ NPCs on a capital ship.

Large ships like capital ships can travel greater distances without need of fuelling. In SC their will be mission types of defend or hold set locations. bigger isn't better in SC but a ship does it's role efficiently.
